Corporate Participants

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience

UN Agency Staff

All applications are carefully reviewed by our Admissions Committee. Each candidate is assessed on professional background, academic qualifications, leadership potential, organisational context, and alignment with program objectives.

We take a holistic approach recognising that professional experience and demonstrated commitment to development work are as important as formal academic credentials.

Decision & Notification

Successful applicants receive a formal admission letter by email, outlining program details, payment and scholarship instructions, and onboarding guidelines including platform access and orientation schedule.

In some cases, applicants may be contacted by our Admissions Team for additional clarification or documentation. If your application is unsuccessful, you will receive constructive feedback and guidance on next steps or alternative programs.

Do I need a university degree to apply?

A bachelor's degree is preferred but not strictly required for all programs. Significant professional experience in a relevant field may be considered as an equivalent. Contact our Admissions Team to discuss your specific background.

How long does the application review take?

Most applications are reviewed within 1–3 business days. You will receive an official decision by email. In some cases, the team may contact you to request additional documentation, which may extend this timeline slightly.

Can my employer sponsor my enrollment?

Yes. GIL accepts organisational sponsorship from employers, UN agencies, NGOs, and government bodies. Sponsored applicants should include an official endorsement letter and may be eligible for group discounts. Contact us for a corporate sponsorship package.

Are there scholarships or financial assistance options?

GIL offers partial scholarships for professionals from low- and middle-income countries, as well as for staff of qualifying NGOs. Installment payment plans are also available. Indicate your interest on the application form or contact our Admissions Team directly.

Can I study while working full-time?

Absolutely. GIL programs are specifically designed for working professionals. All courses are delivered online with flexible self-paced content, supplemented by optional live sessions scheduled at accessible times across time zones.

Is the GIL certification recognized internationally?

Yes. GIL certifications are accredited by ISO and ABICB and are recognised by UN agencies, international NGOs, and governments worldwide. Our curriculum is aligned with UN competency frameworks, making our credentials highly valued in the international development sector.

What language are the programs delivered in?

All programs are currently delivered in English. A working proficiency in English is required. Selected programs may be available in French upon request for cohorts of 10 or more participants. Contact us to enquire.

What happens after I complete my program?

Upon successful completion, you receive a digitally verifiable certificate from GIL, accredited by ISO and ABICB. You also gain lifetime access to GIL's alumni network, career support resources, and invitations to exclusive alumni events and summits.
